About this Product
The deadlatch operates automatically when the door is shut. When closing, the bolt recedes inside the body of the lock and is then automatically pushed into the mounting plate when the door is shut. Unlike the deadbolt mechanism, the deadlatch can be locked open to allow the door to swing open freely.
